About the project
SK Hydro is the developer of the 884 MW Suki Kinari Hydropower Project on the Kunhar River in Balakot Tehsil, Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The run-of-the-river plant, built around four 221 MW Pelton turbines, entered commercial operation on 13 September 2024 and is one of the early-harvest projects of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor.
